Blog: The Giving Season

Starry Starry Night

The Giving Season

I cannot believe December has arrived so quickly. I am not even close to being prepared. This year, my family decided to give the gifts of experiences and moments instead of things. I’ve been trying to figure out the perfect gifts and stocking stuffers that represent this wonderful idea.

Last night, as my son was refusing to sleep at 3 in the morning, I started thinking about my next blog post for the Saskatoon Zoo Foundation, and I realized that a pass to see the 21st Annual BHP Enchanted Forest would be a perfect holiday gift for my family. I’m just happy I still remembered the idea in the morning.

As I write this, we had a huge snowfall overnight, and it’s continuing this morning. I imagine the lights will be beautiful with the fresh snowfall. Tickets‌ ‌are‌ ‌available‌ ‌in‌ ‌advance‌ ‌at‌ ‌Saskatoon‌ ‌Shopper’s‌ ‌Drug‌ ‌Marts‌ ‌and‌ ‌Saskatoon‌ ‌Co-op‌ ‌Food‌ ‌Stores‌ ‌and‌ ‌Gas‌ ‌Bars.‌ It would be easy to pick them up, and wrap them or put them in stockings. It’s a wonderful gift idea, and I can’t wait to have my family open them! It’ll be a perfect gift for my parents, and I’m sure they’ll love taking my son.

You and your family can see the lights from the comfort of your car until January 6th from 5:30 to 10 nightly.‌ It’s such a great tradition for family. It will be nice to go a couple more times because we always find something new to love.

I am hoping to have a stress free holiday season, and my decision to buy passes to the Enchanted Forest makes gift buying a lot easier.  The passes will not only give my family a guaranteed smile, but the money made from this event also helps the Saskatoon Zoo Foundation.

As‌ ‌always,‌ ‌donations‌ ‌continue‌ ‌to‌ ‌make‌ ‌the‌ ‌zoo‌ ‌a‌ ‌wonderful‌ ‌place.‌ ‌Donations‌ ‌help‌ ‌in‌ ‌many‌ ‌ways.‌ ‌They‌ ‌help‌ ‌build‌ ‌the‌ ‌bears‌ ‌a‌ ‌new‌ ‌home,‌ ‌and‌ ‌build‌ ‌the‌ ‌butterflies‌ ‌a‌ ‌house, or you can sponsor the Dingo exhibit.‌ ‌Every‌ ‌little‌ ‌bit‌ ‌helps‌ ‌to‌ ‌promote‌ ‌education,‌ ‌conservation,‌ ‌and‌ ‌research.‌ ‌

 ‌It’s‌ ‌YOUR‌ ‌zoo!‌ ‌

Thanks‌ ‌for‌ ‌reading.‌ ‌
