Just like that, February is over. I’m happy to report, we’ve had more nice days than freezing cold ones.
I’m just popping in to remind you that the zoo is the perfect place to spend time with family right now! It’s free, many of the animals are out, and it’s not so cold that it hurts to breathe! It’s been lovely out this past week.
Lately, my son will go outside no matter how cold it is. He keeps telling me he wants the snow to melt, but he also stays outside as long as he can while playing in the snow.
The zoo is the perfect place to walk off the winter blues. I always bring our wagon so we can put our bags in it, and my son can ride in it when he gets tired of running around. It’s heavy to carry him with all his snow gear, and the wagon always saves the day. The paths are perfect for wagons or strollers. They’re nice and big, and the snow isn’t in the way. It’s wonderful for my son to be able to get in and out as he pleases.
We get to see the animals, and my kiddo would play in the park all day if I let him. It’s really a wonderful way to spend an almost Spring day. It feels like we’ve had Spring at least three times already.
And a quick reminder, if you’re interested in a fun experience, the Saskatoon Zoo Foundation is preparing for another fantastic fundraiser. Zoogala is June 12th this year. I promise I’ll share the details with you as soon as I know.
As always, donations continue to make the zoo a wonderful place. Donations help build the bears a new home or build the butterflies a house, and so much more. Every little bit helps to promote education, conservation, and research.
It’s YOUR zoo!
